So Hikvision analogue (coax) cameras are registered; no Hikvision-pattern IP camera is listed as ER-compliant.

Some model strings carry Indian-market suffixes as printed by BIS, such as \ECO. Hikvision's own DS-2CE16D0T-ITPF datasheet lists a "(India-L)" variant (datasheet).
The word "Hikvision" appears exactly once in the whole BIS ER list on 14 Oct 2026: in the manufacturer name of R-71004456. No row has "Hikvision" in the Brand column.
Why "analogue column" is not "ER-compliant"
BIS keeps two model columns for a reason. MeitY clarified on 12 Mar 2025 that the security ER order does not apply to analogue CCTV cameras, so analogue models are listed on the manufacturer's self-declaration, without an ER test report (BIS circular, 1 Apr 2025).
For any camera "other than analog", BIS requires test reports to both IS 13252 (Part 1) and the security ER (BIS circular, 1 Apr 2025).
On successful ER compliance, BIS issues a letter naming each compliant model (BIS guideline, 22 Oct 2024, para 5A(iii)). Those models are what the ER column shows.
From 1 Apr 2026, "no sale of any CCTV cameras, which do not conform to ERs" is allowed, per MeitY's OM of 16 Jan 2026 (MeitY OM).
The ER itself asks for a lot: penetration testing, firmware-update security and, where proprietary network protocols are used, their implementation details and source code (S.O. 1652(E), Annexure, item 3.5).

The PRAMA-brand IP cameras (PT-NC… models) sit under a different registrant, Prama India Private Limited, at a different Vasai address. Its annual return shows two Indian individuals holding 100% at 31 Mar 2025; Prama Hikvision India's latest published return names Hangzhou Hikvision as a 58% holding company at 31 Mar 2023 (MGT-7 returns above). The STQC position
STQC's IoTSCS list of certified network cameras holds 196 unique models from 7 brands: Sparsh, Prama, CP Plus, Matrix, Honeywell, Vicon and EQUUS (Mama's count from the STQC certificates, checked 7 Oct 2026). No certificate names Hikvision as brand or OEM. Prama has 58 models; where those certificates print an OEM, it is Prama India Private Limited.
STQC says its PPO-certified list of network cameras "is no longer being updated and is retained solely for historical reference" (STQC, page updated 13 Oct 2026). Per MeitY circular W-18/26/2025-IPHW of 4 Feb 2026, as STQC quotes it, STQC now issues ER test reports under the CRO that also serve the Make in India procurement order. What breaks in a factory
Many plants mix coax cameras on a DVR with IP cameras on PoE switches. Under the list above, a like-for-like analogue Hikvision swap may be on the list while an IP "upgrade" from the same counter is not.
Dealer quotes often drop suffixes. DS-2CE16D0T-ITPF and DS-2CE16D0T-ITPFC are different strings; only the printed one counts.
Heat, dust and voltage surges do not change the legal position, but they can shorten camera life, so replacement buying often comes up long before the registration's 2031 validity. Hikvision rates the DS-2CE16D0T-ITPF(C) for -40 °C to 60 °C and IP67 (datasheet, 1 Aug 2025); check the rating of the exact listed model before fitting it near furnaces or ovens.
When to call the installer / what to ask the vendor
Ask in writing for: the exact model string, the R-number, which BIS column it sits in, and for IP cameras the ER letter or test report.
