Matrix STQC-Certified Cameras: All 36 SATATYA Models, Certificate Numbers and Expiry Dates
Matrix Comsec holds 7 STQC IoTSCS Essential Requirements certificates covering 36 SATATYA camera models. Four (ER/016, 024, 025, 026) were issued on 4 Mar 2025 and expire 3 Mar 2028; three (ER/083, 084, 085) were issued 8 Oct 2025 and expire 7 Oct 2028. None has lapsed. Every model string ends in " P2" except the two PTZs.

- STQC, IoTSCS Certified Product list as per the Essential Requirements (ERs): links exactly seven Matrix PDFs (re-read 13 Oct 2026).
- The seven Matrix certificate PDFs linked in the table. They are scans with no text layer; model strings were transcribed visually and the cover/product row was cross-checked against the annexure table. Downloaded 7 Oct 2026, downloaded again 13 Oct 2026: all seven MD5 hashes unchanged.
- STQC, second page with the same title, carrying the registry-status notices quoted below (re-read 13 Oct 2026).
- Matrix Comsec, Technical Specifications index: Matrix's own model names and descriptions, used for the model-code key.
- BIS CRS, List of Registrations and models of CCTVs complying with ER for Security, S.No 48 (re-read 13 Oct 2026).
- Checked 13 Oct 2026.
Registry status: PPO list frozen, ER list current
The -iotscs-0 page cites MeitY circular No. W-18/26/2025-IPHW dated 04.02.2026: STQC "will issue the test report for Security as per the Essential Requirements (ERs) under CRO". It then states: "The Product certified list pertaining to PPO certification of Network Camera(s) is no longer being updated and is retained solely for historical reference." That notice covers the PPO list, not this ER list. An ER test report can also come from another BIS-recognised lab, so a model missing here is not proof of non-compliance: check the BIS ER list. The difference between the two routes is covered in STQC ER vs BIS CRS, CRO vs PPO.

What each certificate prints beyond the model list.
- ER/016, 024, 025, 026: a note that the sample was a "not productionize sample" and production would be initiated after certification. Ask for proof that shipped units match the evaluated version.
- Evaluated firmware is printed in each annexure, e.g. IPCamera_S05_FirmwareV04R01_02 on ER/024 and ER/025, IPCamera_S05_FirmwareV04R05_00 on ER/083, each with a SHA-256 hash.
- ER/083, 084, 085: the model "has to undergo review to identify addressing of End of Life libraries … within six months of STQC letter vide letter no. STQC/IT&E-Gov/2025/01 dated 23.04.2025". The PDF cannot show whether that was done.
- Spelling traps: ER/024's Annexure-B misprints "STATYA"; ER/025's product-name row and some ER/016 Annexure-B headings drop the "SATATYA " prefix. The table uses the Annexure-A string.
- All seven covers name M/s Matrix Comsec Pvt. Ltd. as OEM (Makarpura, Vadodara) and as manufacturer (15 & 19 Waghodia GIDC, Vadodara), and the evaluating lab as Electronics Regional Test Laboratory (North), Okhla, New Delhi.
Separate, not part of the STQC list: Matrix also holds BIS CRS registration R-72000795 (brand MATRIX, status "Registered", valid to 30 Jan 2028), which names 63 models. All 36 above are among them, plus 27 that hold no STQC certificate: turret, all-colour turret, 2MP "CWS" minis and further ruggedized variants.
How to read a Matrix model code
Matrix publishes no decoding key. The mapping below is read off Matrix's own technical-specifications index, which describes every code. Example: SATATYA CIBR50MVL12CWP P2.
| Part | Values seen | What Matrix's descriptions show |
|---|---|---|
| SATATYA | every certificate and BIS string | Prefix used on the STQC and BIS lists; Matrix's index omits it from camera codes but uses it for SATATYA SAMAS and SATATYA NPC430 |
| CI / RI / MI | CIBR, RIDR, MIDR | CI and RI listed under "Project Series", MI under "Professional Series". STQC calls MI models "Mini" |
| DR / BR / TR / TC | Dome, Bullet, Turret IR, Turret All Color | Form factor |
| 20 / 50 / 80 | 2MP, 5MP, 8MP | Resolution |
| FL28 / FL36 / FL40 / FL60 | 2.8, 3.6, 4, 6 mm | Fixed lens |
| MVL12 | 2MP and 5MP | Motorized varifocal 2.8–12 mm |
| ML12 | 8MP only | Motorized varifocal 4.3–10 mm, not 2.8–12 |
| CWP / CWS | — | Every CWP model is described "With Audio"; the CWS models are described without audio. A pattern, not a published definition |
| P2 | all non-PTZ codes | Not explained by Matrix |
PTZ2040P and PTZ5040P are described as 2MP and 5MP PTZ cameras "with 38x Optical Zoom".
Where brands differ
| Same STQC ER list (53 certificates, 196 models) | Models | Earliest printed expiry |
|---|---|---|
| Prama | 58 | 2027-10-07 |
| CP Plus | 45 | 2027-07-17 |
| Sparsh | 43 | ER/001, ER/004: 2026-09-05 (lapsed) |
| Matrix | 36 | 2028-03-03 |
- Matrix vs CP Plus: both brands carry the "not productionize" note on some certificates; model detail is on the CP Plus STQC list.
- Matrix vs Prama: Prama's certificates carry no "not productionize" note; Matrix's 2025-03 batch does. Both have the End-of-Life-library condition on later batches. Detail: Prama STQC-certified cameras.
- ONVIF: onvif.org lists several MIBR/MIDR codes only without " P2" (firmware 3.6.99, 2023). Treat those as a different listing, not proof for the P2 model.
How to verify a Matrix certificate
- Open the STQC ER list and find the PDF under Matrix. Don't trust a PDF emailed by a dealer.
- Match the model string character for character, including the space before "P2".
- Read "Date of Issue" and "Certificate Expiry" on page one.
- Scan the QR code; the certificate states it "may be verified by scanning the QR".
- For a model not on the list, ask for the BIS CRS R-number or a CRO-route STQC test report.
- Shortcut: search the model in the certified CCTV finder or the certificate checker, then open the PDF anyway.
What breaks in a factory
The certificate covers one evaluated version on one date. It says nothing about:
- Firmware flashed on site. Certificates apply "only to specific version and release". An update at commissioning moves you off the evaluated version.
- Lens swaps. An installer substituting FL36 for FL28 changes the model string; check it is still on the certificate.
- Your network. Default passwords, port-forwarding to Jio/Airtel routers and flat networks with office PCs remain the installer's job.
- Heat, dust and light. The eight Matrix datasheets checked give IP67 and IK10, but no certificate covers 45 °C roof sheds or LED flicker; see the 50 Hz flicker fix.
- The recorder. These are camera certificates only.
When to call the installer / what to ask the vendor
- The certificate number and the exact model string on the box label.
- For ER/083–085: STQC's written closure of the End-of-Life-library review.
- For ER/016–026: confirmation that production firmware matches the evaluated release.
- Which firmware ships today.
Where Mama fits
Mama reads a factory's existing cameras over RTSP/ONVIF, Matrix or otherwise, and tells the owner where machines sat idle. Leave an email or phone in the form below.
FAQ
Is Matrix CCTV STQC certified? For 36 specific SATATYA models, yes, on seven STQC IoTSCS ER certificates. Certification is per model string, not per brand.
Is Matrix a Make in India CCTV brand? All seven certificates name Matrix Comsec Pvt. Ltd. as manufacturer at Waghodia GIDC, Vadodara, Gujarat. Local value addition under PPP-MII is a separate test that this list does not cover.
How do I check the STQC certificate of a CCTV camera? Find the PDF on stqc.gov.in, match the exact model string, check the expiry, and scan the QR code. If the model is missing, ask for BIS CRS registration or a CRO test report.
