The question has three separate parts, and the answers differ: who owns the company, where the cameras are built, and how tied the business is to China. This page takes each in turn, using only the company's own regulatory filings and the government certification registers.

The shareholding is the clearest test of nationality. As of 30 June 2026, per the company's filing, 12 Indian promoter and promoter-group holders held 74.71%. The largest were Aditya Khemka (31.53%), Hari Khemka Business Family Trust (15.28%) and Rishi Khemka (9.47%). Foreign institutions of all kinds held 6.35%.
Promoter holding was higher earlier in the year. On 24 Feb 2026 the company told NSE and BSE that the promoter group held 76.74% and that two promoters would sell up to 2% to meet the minimum public shareholding rule (NSE intimation).
Where the China link is real
Three documented China links explain why buyers keep asking. None of them is ownership of the company.
1. Dahua distribution. The RHP says the relationship "began over 16 years ago" and that Aditya Infotech has been Dahua's "exclusive distributor in India since 2023". It also distributes products under the "Dahua" brand alongside CP PLUS (p. 52). Risk factor 5 (p. 45) states: "None of our Promoters, members of the Promoter Group and Directors are related to Dahua." The same RHP lists Dahua Technology among China's "local companies" in its market section (p. 192).
| Fiscal year | Revenue from Dahua-supplied products (₹ million) | Share of revenue from operations (%) |
|---|---|---|
| FY2023 | 7,327.45 | 32.07 |
| FY2024 | 7,906.26 | 28.41 |
| FY2025 | 7,672.07 | 24.65 |
Source: RHP risk factor 5, p. 45. The distribution agreement restricts selling competing products without Dahua's approval, per the same RHP risk factor (also DRHP, p. 50).
2. Parts imported from China. The RHP says: "We import parts and materials primarily from China." Its country-wise import table (p. 43) shows:
| Country | FY2023 imports (₹ million) | FY2024 imports (₹ million) | FY2025 imports (₹ million) |
|---|---|---|---|
| China | 949.61 | 1,158.80 | 739.32 |
| Hong Kong | 1,038.37 | 355.25 | 246.21 |
| Singapore | 3.02 | 84.27 | 21.57 |
| Denmark | – | 26.99 | – |
| Total | 1,991.00 | 1,625.31 | 1,007.10 |
The industry report quoted in the RHP (Frost & Sullivan, p. 224) says SoCs "likely to be compliant" with the new rules are limited to Ambarella (U.S.), Novatek (Taiwan) and Innofusion (Singapore), and that "many other non-critical components in the certified 'Indian' cameras still originate from China". That is a market statement, not a list of the chips in CP Plus models.
3. A subsidiary in Shenzhen. Shenzhen CP Plus International Ltd was incorporated under the laws of the People's Republic of China on 30 Dec 2016, and "Our Company holds 100% of the paid-up equity share capital of Shenzhen". Its stated business is assistance and support for procuring raw materials, spare parts and finished goods, including quality control, testing and analysis (RHP, pp. 292–293; also DRHP, pp. 253–254). The subsidiary is owned by the Indian company, not the other way round.
Where brands differ
Ownership and certification are separate questions. As of 14 Oct 2026, the BIS ER list has no registrant or brand named Dahua. CP Plus models appear under the Indian registrant Ail Dixon Technologies, which also registers Qubo, Nexivue and Norden; the full map is in who makes India's certified CCTV cameras.
That means a Dahua-branded network camera bought new today is a different compliance case from a CP Plus one, even though the same company distributes both. For what the 2026 rule actually requires, see Is Hikvision banned in India?. For how BIS and STQC registrations differ, see STQC ER vs BIS CRS vs PPO.
What this means for a factory owner
- For procurement paperwork, the model matters, not the brand's nationality. Check the exact model string, suffix included, in the Certified CCTV Finder or against its certificate in the Certificate Checker.
- If a customer audit or tender asks for "non-Chinese" equipment, the filings let you state the facts precisely: Indian promoters with 0% foreign promoter holding, one factory at Kadapa, a wholly owned procurement subsidiary in Shenzhen, and parts imported mainly from China. For the chip, quote the exact model's STQC certificate: ER/70, for example, prints an Innofusion chipset with country of origin Taiwan. Do not claim more than that.
- Older CP Plus or Dahua units already on the wall are a separate decision. See Hikvision and Dahua cameras in 2026: keep, add AI or replace.
- In a hot, dusty plant, the warranty and service network matters more than the flag. Ask the installer which service centre handles your district before you buy.
When to ask the vendor
Ask Aditya Infotech or your installer three things in writing: the BIS R-number and STQC certificate number for the exact model; the SoC vendor printed on that certificate; and whether the unit was made at Kadapa. If any answer is "it's the same as Dahua", ask for the model's own certificate instead.

FAQ
Is CP Plus owned by Dahua?
Not according to the filings. Aditya Infotech's 30 June 2026 shareholding pattern shows 0% held by foreign promoters, and no shareholder named Dahua. Indian promoters held 74.71%. The RHP states that none of its promoters, promoter group members or directors are related to Dahua. The link is commercial: per the July 2025 RHP, Aditya Infotech has been Dahua's exclusive distributor in India since 2023, and Dahua-supplied products were 24.65% of FY2025 revenue from operations.
Is CP Plus made in India?
The company's one manufacturing facility is at Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, run by AIL Dixon, its wholly owned subsidiary since 18 Sep 2024, per the RHP. The company reported producing 10.6 million cameras in FY2025. The RHP also says its portfolio includes "products that we source from third parties". Parts are partly imported, mainly from China by the RHP's own account, so "made in India" here means local assembly and manufacture, not all-Indian components.
Is CP Plus allowed after the April 2026 CCTV rule?
The rule works by model, not by brand. As of 14 Oct 2026, the BIS ER list shows 100 unique CP PLUS model strings in the Security-ER column under registration R-66000299. A model missing from that list is not covered, so check the exact model string before buying.
